السجدة يقرؤها (الرجل) ومعه قوم لا يسجدون حتى يسجدIf Someone Recites an Ayah of Prostration and Others Are Present, They Should Not Prostrate Until He Does
Hadith 4425
٤٤٢٥ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن ابن عجلان عن زيد بن أسلم أن غلاما (قرأ) (١) عند النبي ﷺ السجدة فانتظر الغلام النبي ﷺ أن يسجد فلما لم يسجد قال: يا رسول اللَّه أليس في هذه السورة سجدة؟ قال: "بَلَى وَلَكِنَّكَ كُنْتَ إِمَامَنَا فِيهَا فَلَوْ سَجَدْتَ لَسَجَدْنَا" (٢).
Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam narrates that a boy recited a verse of prostration before the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He waited for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to perform the prostration. When he did not prostrate, the boy said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is there not a prostration in this surah?" He replied, "There is indeed a prostration in this surah. However, in this matter, you were our leader. If you had prostrated, we would have prostrated as well."
