Hadith 4376
٤٣٧٦ - حدثنا محمد بن (بكر) (١) عن ابن جريج عن عطاء قال: (قلت له) (٢) أرأيت إن مرت حائض بقوم يقرؤون المصحف فسجدوا، (أ) (٣) تسجد معهم؟ قال: لا، قد منعت خيرا من ذلك.
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Hazrat Ata: If a menstruating woman passes by some people who are reciting the Holy Qur'an, and if those people perform the prostration of recitation, should she also perform the prostration with them? He replied: No, she has been prohibited from something even better than these prostrations, that is, the obligatory prayer.
