Hadith 4303
٤٣٠٣ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: كان يسجد في (النجم) وفي ﴿اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ﴾ إلا أن يقرأ بهما في صلاة مكتوبة فإنه كان لا يسجد بهما ويركع (١).
Hazrat Nafi' states that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to perform sajdah (prostration) in Surah An-Najm and Surah Al-'Alaq. However, if he recited them in an obligatory prayer, he would not perform sajdah in them and would suffice with ruku (bowing).
