Hadith 4290
٤٢٩٠ - حدثنا هشيم قال نا علي بن زيد بن جدعان عن أبي رافع قال: صليت خلف أبي هريرة بالمدينة العشاء الآخرة قال: فقرأ فيها: ﴿إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ﴾ فسجد فيها فقلت (له) (١): تسجد فيها؟ فقال: رأيت خليلي أبا القاسم ﷺ سجد فيها فلا أدع ذلك (٢).
Hazrat Abu Rafi’ says that I performed the ‘Isha prayer with Hazrat Abu Hurairah in Madinah. He recited Surah Al-Inshiqaq in it and performed a prostration (sajdah) in it. I asked him, “Why do you perform sajdah in this surah?” He replied, “I saw my beloved friend, Abu al-Qasim, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), do so, and since then I have done the same.”
