ما (ذكر) في الخوارجAbout the Khawarij
Hadith 40718
٤٠٧١٨ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة قال: خاصم عمر بن عبد العزيز الخوارج، فرجع من رجع منهم، وأبت طائفة منهم أن يرجعوا، فأرسل عمر رجلا على خيل وأمره أن ينزل حيث (يرتحلون) (١)، ولا يحركهم ولا يهيجهم فإن (٢) قتلوا وأفسدوا في الأرض (فابسط) (٣) عليهم وقاتلهم، وإن هم لم يقتلوا ولم يفسدوا في الأرض فدعهم (يسيرون) (٤).
Hazrat Mughira narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz held discussions with the Khawarij. Among them, those who wished to repent did so. One group among them refused to repent. Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz sent a cavalry force towards them and instructed them to go to the place where the Khawarij were staying. He ordered that they should not be harmed or provoked; if the Khawarij killed or caused corruption in the land, then attack them and fight against them. But if they did not fight and did not cause corruption in the land, then leave them and let them do as they wish.
