Hadith 40717
٤٠٧١٧ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق قال: سمعت عاصم ابن ضمرة (قال) (١): إن خارجة خرجت على حكم، فقالوا: لا حكم إلا للَّه، فقال علي: إنه لا حُكم إلا للَّه، [ولكنهم يقولون: لا إمرة، ولا (بد) (٢) للناس من أمير بر أو فاجر، يعمل في إمارته المؤمن (ويستمتع فيها)) (٣) (٤) الكافر، ويبلغ اللَّه] (٥) فيه (الأجل) (٦) (٧).
Hazrat Asim bin Damrah narrates that the Khawarij raised their voices against the government and proclaimed the slogan that there is no rule except that of Allah. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding this: "Indeed, there is no rule except that of Allah, but these people say that there should be no leadership at all, whereas it is necessary for people to have a leader, whether he is righteous or wicked. A believer works under his leadership, a disbeliever lives under it, and Allah the Exalted brings it to its appointed term."
