Hazrat Abu Tufail narrates that during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, a child was born. The Prophet prayed for him and touched the skin of his forehead. The narrator says that a curved hair, like that of a horse, appeared on the boy’s forehead. Then the boy grew up, and when the era of the Khawarij came, he inclined towards the Khawarij. Then that hair fell from his forehead. His father caught him and tied him up because he feared that he might join the Khawarij. We met him once and advised him, and we said to him, “Do you not see that even the blessing of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, has fallen from your forehead?” We kept advising him in this way until he abandoned his opinion. Then Allah Almighty restored the hair on his forehead, and he repented and reformed himself.
