Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Salamah Hamdani narrates from his grandfather that we were sitting at the door of Hazrat Abdullah waiting for him. He came and said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, told us that a people will recite the Holy Qur'an but the Qur'an will not go below their throats. They will leave Islam just as an arrow leaves the bow. After narrating this hadith, Hazrat Abdullah said, "By Allah, I do not know, perhaps many people related to them are among you." Hazrat Amr bin Salamah says that we saw most of those people fighting against us with the Khawarij on the day of Nahrawan.
