Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Yasir bin Amr says that I asked Hazrat Sahl bin Hunaif whether he had heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mention the Khawarij. He replied that he had heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He pointed with his blessed hand towards the east and said that from there a people will emerge who will recite the Qur'an with their tongues but the Qur'an will not go beyond their throats. They will leave the religion of Islam as swiftly as an arrow leaves the bow.
