Hadith 40574
٤٠٥٧٤ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: حدثنا إسماعيل عن قيس قال: لما بلغت عائشة بعض مياه بني عامر ليلا نبحت الكلاب عليها، فقالت: أي ماء هذا؟ قالوا: ماء (الحوأب) (١)، فوقفت فقالت: ما أظنني إلا راجعة، فقال لها طلحة والزبير: مهلا رحمك اللَّه بل تقدمين فيراك المسلمون فيصلح اللَّه ذات بينهم، قالت: ما ⦗٤٨٣⦘ أظنني إلا راجعة، إني سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال (لنا) (٢) ذات يوم: "كيف بإحداكن تنبح عليها كلاب (الحواب) (٣) " (٤).
It is narrated from Qais that when Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reached a spring of Banu Amir, the dogs began to bark. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked, "Which spring is this?" The people informed her, "It is the spring of Haw'ab." So she stopped and said, "I should return." Talha and Zubair said to her, "Stay, may Allah have mercy on you. You should proceed; the Muslims have hope in you that through you Allah Almighty will reform them." Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "I should return. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say—one day he informed about this day (what will happen when the dogs of Haw'ab will bark at one of you)."
