ما ذكر في عثمان ﵁On the Mention of Uthman (رضی اللہ عنہ)
Hadith 40484
٤٠٤٨٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن يحيى بن أبي الهيثم عن يوسف بن عبد اللَّه بن سلام عن أبيه قال: لا تسلوا سيوفكم فلئن سللتموها لا (تغمد) (١) إلى يوم القيامة، وقال: أنظروني ثماني عشرة -يعني يوم عثمان (٢).
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Salam that he said: Do not draw your swords; if you draw your swords, they will never be sheathed until the Day of Judgment. Then he said: Give me a respite of eighteen days, that is, until the day of the martyrdom of Hazrat Uthman (because he himself will pass away).
