40431 - He said: Then Gog and Magog will come out and frolic in the land and cause corruption therein. Then (Abdullah) recited: ﴿And they hasten forth from every height﴾ [الأنبياء: ٩٦]. He said: Then Allah will send upon them a beast like this nighaf (larva), which will penetrate into their ears and nostrils, and they will die from it. (He said): The earth will become putrid from them, so people will seek help from Allah, and He will send upon them water (which will purify) the earth from them. Then he said: Allah will send a cold, bitter wind, and it will not leave on earth any believer ⦗396⦘ except that (it will take him) (that) wind. He said: Then the Hour will be established upon the worst of people. He said: Then an angel will stand between the heaven and the earth with the trumpet and blow into it. He said: The trumpet is a horn. He said: No creature (of Allah) will remain in the heaven or on the earth except that it will die, except whom your Lord wills. He said: Then between the two blasts will be whatever Allah wills. He said: Then Allah will sprinkle water from beneath the Throne (8) like the semen (9) of men. He said: There is not a creation (of the son) (10) of Adam (on earth except) (11) that something of him remains. He said: Their bodies (and their flesh) (12) will grow from that water just as (the earth grows) (13) from the dust. Then Abdullah recited: ﴿(And Allah) (14) is He Who sends the winds so they raise the clouds, then We drive it to a dead land and revive thereby the earth after its death; thus is the Resurrection﴾ [فاطر: ٩]. He said: Then an angel will stand between the heaven and the earth with the trumpet and blow into it. He said: Every soul will go to its body and enter it. He said: Then they will stand (and live) (15) (the greeting) (16) of one man (standing) (17) before the Lord of the worlds. Then Allah will appear to the creation and meet them, and there is none among the creation who worshipped anything besides Allah except that he is ⦗397⦘ raised for him (following him) (18). (He will meet) (19) (the Jews) (20) and say: Whom do you worship? They will say: We worship Uzair. He will say: Does (the water please you) (21)? They will say: Yes. He will show them Hellfire, which will appear to them like a mirage, [ثم قرأ عبد اللَّه ﴿وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ (يَوْمَئِذٍ) (٢٢) لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَرْضًا﴾ [الكهف: ١٠٠], (23) then He will meet the Christians and say: Whom do you worship? They will say: We worship the Messiah. He will say: Does (the water please you) (24)? They will say: Yes. He will show them Hellfire, which will appear to them like a mirage (25). He said: Then likewise for whoever used to worship anything besides Allah. Then (Abdullah recited) (26): ﴿And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned﴾ [الصافات: ٢٤], until (the Muslims pass) (27) and He says: Whom do you worship? They will say: We worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him. He will say: Do you recognize your Lord? They will say: Glory be to Him, if (He reveals Himself to us) (28), we will recognize Him. He said: At that point, He will uncover His shin, and none will remain except that (he will fall for Allah) (29) in prostration, and the hypocrites will remain (their backs) (30) (as one plate) (31) as if there were ⦗398⦘ (skewers) (32) in them. He will say: You used to be called to prostration while you were sound. Then Allah will command (the Bridge) (33) to be set up over Hell. He said: (People will pass) (34) over it in groups according to their deeds, the first of them like a flash of lightning, then like the wind, then like birds, then like the fastest of animals, and so on, until (a man passes) (35) running, and until a man passes walking, and until the last of them is a man crawling on his belly. He will say: (You delayed) (36) me. He will say: I did not delay you; only your deeds delayed you. He said: Then Allah will permit intercession, and the first to intercede on the Day of Resurrection will be the Holy Spirit, Jibril, then Ibrahim, the Friend of the Merciful, then Musa or Isa (I do not know whether Musa or Isa) (37), then (your Prophet) (38) (39) will stand fourth, and no one will intercede after him in what he intercedes for. This is the Praiseworthy Station which Allah mentioned: ﴿(Perhaps) (40) your Lord will raise you to a Praiseworthy Station﴾ [الإسراء: ٧٩]. There is not a soul except that (it will look) (41) at a house (in) (42) the Fire or a house in Paradise, and (it is) (43) the Day of (Regret) (44). The people of the Fire will see the house that is in Paradise, and it will be said: If only ⦗399⦘ (you had acted) (45), (then regret will seize them) (46). And (the people of Paradise will see) (47) the house that is in the Fire, and they will say: ﴿If not for (the favor of Allah (48) upon us) (49), (He would have made us sink) (50)﴾ [القصص: ٨٢]. He said: Then (the angels, prophets, martyrs, righteous, and believers will intercede) (51), and Allah will accept their intercession. He said: Then He will say: I am the Most Merciful of the merciful. He said: He will bring out from the Fire more than all those brought out (52) from all creation by His mercy, until He does not (leave) (53) in it anyone (54) (in whom) (55) there is any good. Then Abdullah recited: ﴿What led you into Saqar?﴾ [المدثر: ٤٢]. He began counting until he counted four: ﴿They will say: We were not of those who prayed (43), nor did we feed the poor (44), and we used to talk vainly with those who engaged in vain talk (45), and we used to deny the Day of Judgment (46), until there came to us the certainty (47). So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them﴾ [المدثر: ٤٣ - ٤٨]. Then Abdullah said: Do you see any good in these? He does not (leave) (56) in it anyone (in whom) (57) there is any good. When Allah wills that no one comes out of it (anymore) (58), He will change their faces and colors, and a man from among the believers will come ⦗400⦘ (and say: O Lord) (59). He will say: Whoever recognizes anyone, let him bring him out. He will come and look but will not recognize anyone. Then a man will call him: O so-and-so, I am so-and-so. He will say: I do not recognize you. At that point (they will say: ﴿Our Lord, bring us out of it, and if we return [to evil], then indeed we would be wrongdoers.﴾ He will say) (60): (At that point) (61): ﴿Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me﴾ [المؤمنون: ١٠٨]. He said: When He says that, it will be closed upon them, and none of them will come out (62).
