Hadith 40337
٤٠٣٣٧ - حدثنا زيد بن حباب قال: (أخبرنا) (١) معاوية بن صالح قال: أخبرني عمرو بن قيس الكندي قال: سمعت عبد اللَّه بن عمرو بن العاص (قال) (٢): (من) (٣) أشراط الساعة أن يظهر القول (ويخزن) (٤) (العمل) (٥) (ويرتفع) (٦) الأشرار، ⦗٣٦٣⦘ (ويوضع (الأخيار)) (٧) (٨) وتقرأ المثاني عليهم، فلا يعيبها أحد منهم، قال: قلت: ما المثاني؟ قال: كل كتاب سوى كتاب اللَّه (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As that he said: Among the signs of the Day of Judgment is that speech will become widespread and actions will change; evil people will be elevated and good people will be brought down, and al-Mathani will be recited over them, and none among them will find fault with it. The narrator said: I asked, "What is al-Mathani?" He replied: Every book other than the Book of Allah (i.e., the Holy Qur'an).
