Hadith 40214
٤٠٢١٤ - حدثنا أحمد بن عبد اللَّه عن عبد الحميد بن بهرام قال: (حدثنا) (١) شهر بن حوشب قال: حدثني جندب بن سفيان (٢) رجل من ⦗٣٠٩⦘ (بجيلة) (٣) قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ستكون بعدي فتن كقطع الليل المظلم، تصدم الرجل كصدم (جباه) (٤) فحول الثيران، يصبح الرجل فيها مسلما ويمسي كافرا، ويمسي (مسلمًا) (٥)، ويصبح (كافرا) (٦) "، فقال رجل من المسلمين: يا رسول اللَّه! فكيف نصنع عند ذلك؟ قال: "ادخلوا بيوتكم واخملوا ذكركم"، قال رجل من المسلمين: (٧) (أفرأيت) (٨) إن دُخل على أحدنا بيتُه؟ قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "فليمسك بيديه وليكن عبد اللَّه المقتول، (ولا يكن عبد اللَّه القاتل) (٩)، فإن الرجل يكون في قبة الإسلام فيأكل مال أخيه ويسفك دمه ويعصي ربه ويكفر بخالقه فتجب له جهنم" (١٠).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jundub bin Sufyan that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Soon after me there will be tribulations like pieces of a dark night. People will collide with them as herds of wild bulls collide. In them, a person will wake up as a Muslim and by evening become a disbeliever, and in the evening be a Muslim and by morning become a disbeliever. One of the Muslims asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what should we do at that time?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Enter your homes and make yourselves unknown. One of the Muslims asked, "What do you think if someone enters the house of one of us?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: He should withhold his hand and become a slain servant of Allah, and not a killer servant of Allah. Surely, a person's faith is strong, yet he eats his brother's wealth, sheds his blood, disobeys his Lord, and denies his Creator, so Hell becomes obligatory for him.
