Hadith 40204
٤٠٢٠٤ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الأعمش عن سليمان بن ميسرة عن طارق ابن شهاب (عن زيد بن صوحان) (١) قال: قال لي (سلمان) (٢): كيف أنت إذا (اقتتل) (٣) القرآن والسلطان؟ قال: إذن أكون مع القرآن، قال: نعم الزويد أنت إذا، فقال: أبو قرة -وكان يبغض الفتن: إذن أجلس في بيتي، فقال سلمان: لو كنت في أقصى تسعة أبيات كنت مع إحدى (الطائفتين) (٤) (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Suhan that he said: Salman said to me, "What will be your condition when there is a conflict between the Quran and the king?" I replied, "At that time, I will be with the Quran." He said, "At that time, Zaid, you will be very good." Abu Qurrah, who disliked tribulations, said, "At that time, I will sit in my house." Hazrat Salman said, "Even if you are among the servants, you will be with one of the two groups."
