Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Rabee’ah bin Jushan narrates that he said: I went to the region of Syria and attended the gathering of Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr. He asked: Which people are you from? We replied: From the people of Basra. He said: O people of Basra, prepare for battle. We asked: With what? He said: With provisions and water skins. Today, the best wealth is those camels on which a man seats his family and on which he carries grain, and the best wealth is a strong-hoofed horse (this is the best wealth these days). By Allah, soon Banu Qantura will drive you out of Basra until they make you into a group. The narrator says: We asked: Who are Banu Qantura?
