Hadith 40141
٤٠١٤١ - حدثنا محمد بن عبيد قال: حدثني صدقة بن المثنى عن جده (رياح) (١) ابن الحارث قال: قام الحسن بن علي بعد وفاة علي، فخطب الناس فحمد اللَّه وأثنى عليه ثم قال: إن ما هو آت قريب، وإن أمر اللَّه واقع وإن كره الناس وإني واللَّه ما أحب أن أَليَ من أمر أمة محمد ﷺ ما يزن (مثقال) (٢) ذرة من خردل بهراق فيها محجمة من دم منذ علمت ما ينفعني (مما) (٣) يضرني فالحقوا بطيتكم (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Riyah bin Harith that he said: After the death of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and delivered a sermon before the people. He praised and glorified Allah, then said: Surely, that which is to come is near. Undoubtedly, the command of Allah is bound to happen, even if people dislike it. By Allah, I do not like that I should gain even as much as a grain of millet from the affair of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in which even a little blood has been shed, knowing that this affair will not bring me any benefit from things that harm me. So, join your mounts.
