Hadith 40128
٤٠١٢٨ - حدثنا حفص عن الأعمش عن زيد قال: قال حذيفة: إن للفتنة وقفات وبعثات، فإن استطعت أن تموت في (وقفاتها) (١) (فافعل) (٢)، وقال: ما الخمر صرفا بأذهب (لعقول) (٣) الرجال من الفتن (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: In times of tribulation, there are moments when it pauses and moments when it flares up. If you are able, let death come to you during its pauses. And he said: There is no pure wine that intoxicates people's minds more than tribulations do.
