Hadith 40083
٤٠٠٨٣ - حدثنا محمد بن (بشر) (١) قال: حدثنا سفيان عن المغيرة بن النعمان عن عبد اللَّه بن الأقنع الباهلي عن الأحنف بن قيس قال: كانت جالسا في مسجد المدينة، فأقبل رجل لا تراه حلقة إلا فروا منه حتى انتهى إلى الحلقة التي كنت فيها، ⦗٢٥٦⦘ فثبت وفروا، فقلت: من أنت؟ فقال: أبو ذر صاحب رسول اللَّه ﷺ، (قلت) (٢): (ما) (٣) يُفر الناسَ مثك؟ قال: إني أنهاهم عن الكنوز، قال: قلت: إن أعطياتنا قد بلغت وارتفعت فتخاف علينا منها، قال: أما اليوم فلا، ولكنها (يوشك) (٤) أن يكون (أثمان) (٥) دينكم، فإذا كانت أثمان دينكم (فدعوهم) (٦) (وإياها) (٧) (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ahnaf bin Qais that he said: I was sitting in the mosque of Madinah when a man came and said that none of the people sitting in the circles would see him except that they would run away from him, until he came to the circle in which I was. So I remained seated and the other people ran away. I asked, "Who are you?" He replied, "Abu Dharr, a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked, "Why do people run away from you?" He said, "Because I stop them from accumulating treasures." Hazrat Ahnaf bin Qais says: I said, "Indeed, our grants have reached a large number and have become elevated. Do you fear for us because of them?" He replied, "Not at this time, but soon they will become the price of your religion. At that time, avoid these grants."
