Hadith 40048
٤٠٠٤٨ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن الأعمش عن زيد بن وهب عن عبد اللَّه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إنه ستكون بعدي إثرة وأمور تنكرونها"، قال: فقلت: يا رسول اللَّه! ما تأمر من أدرك منا ذلك؟ قال: "تعطون الحق الذي عليكم وتسألون اللَّه الذي لكم" (١).
It is narrated from Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, after me, preference will be given to others over you, and there will be matters which you will dislike." The narrator said: "We asked, 'O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what do you command for the one who encounters such a situation?' He said: 'Give what is due from you, and ask Allah for what is due to you.'"
