Hadith 40031
٤٠٠٣١ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال: أخبرنا عاصم عن زر عن حذيفة بن اليمان قال: تكون فتنة فيقوم لها رجال فيضربون خيشومها حتى تذهب، ثم تكون أخرى فيقوم لها رجال فيضربون خيشومها حتى تذهب، ثم تكون أخرى فيقوم لها رجال فيضربون خيشومها حتى تذهب، [ثم تكون (أخرى) (١) فيقوم لها رجال فيضربون خيشومها (حتى تذهب) (٢)] (٣)، ثم تكون الخامسة دهماء مجللة تنبثق في الأرض كما ينبثق الماء (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: A tribulation will occur, and a group will stand up against it; they will strike it on its nose until it is finished. Then another tribulation will occur; people will stand up against it, and they will strike it on its nose until it is finished. Then a third tribulation will occur; people will stand up against it, and they will strike it on its nose until it is finished. Then a fourth tribulation will occur; people will stand up against it, and they will strike it on its nose until it is finished. Then a fifth tribulation will come upon you, a dark overwhelming one; it will flow through the land like water flows.
