Hadith 40020
٤٠٠٢٠ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم قال: سمعت ميمون بن أبي (شبيب) (١) يحدث (عن) (٢) عبادة بن الصامت قال: أتمنى لحبيبي أن يقل ماله أو يعجل موته، فقالوا: ما رأينا متمنيا محبا (لحبيبه) (٣)؟ فقال: أخشى إن يدرككم أمراء إن أطعتموهم أدخلوكم النار، وإن عصيتموهم قتلوكم، فقال رجل: أخبرنا من هم حتى نفقأ أعينهم، قال شعبة: أو نحثو في وجوههم التراب، فقال: عسى أن تدركوهم فيكونوا هم الذين يفقأون عينك ويحثون في وجهك التراب (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit that he said: I wish for my friend that his wealth may decrease or that he may die soon. His companions said: We have not seen any lover wishing such a thing for his beloved. So he said: I fear that you will encounter such rulers that if you obey them, they will make you enter Hell, and if you disobey them, they will kill you. One person said: Tell us who they are, we will gouge out their eyes. Shu’bah says (these are the words) or we will throw dust on their faces. Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit said: It is near that you will encounter their era, then they will be the ones to gouge out your eyes and throw dust on your faces.
