Hadith 39986
٣٩٩٨٦ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: حدثنا هشام بن حسان عن محمد قال: دخل أبو مسعود الأنصاري على حذيفة في مرضه الذي مات فيه فاعتنقه فقال: الفراق، فقال: نعم، حبيب (١) جاء على فاقة (لا) (٢) أفلح من ندم (أليس) (٣) بعد ما أعلم من (الفتن) (٤) (٥).
Muhammad narrates: Hazrat Abu Mas'ud Ansari came to Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) during his final illness, when the illness had become severe with him. Hazrat Abu Mas'ud Ansari asked, "Is this separation?" So Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Yes, the friend has come upon hunger. I will not attain success due to regret. Will there not be tribulations after me, which I know of?"
