Hadith 39954
٣٩٩٥٤ - حدثنا معاوية بن هشام قال: حدثنا سفيان الثوري عن الحارث الأزدي عن ابن الحنفية قال: رحم اللَّه امرءا كف يده، وأمسك لسانه، وأغنى نفسه، وجلس في بيته، له ما احتسب، وهو يوم القيامة مع من أحب، ألا إن الأعمال أسرع إليهم من سيوف المؤمنين، ألا إن للحق دولة يأتي بها اللَّه إذا شاء.
Hazrat Harith Azdi narrates from Hazrat Ibn Hanfiyyah that he said: May Allah have mercy on the person who restrained his hand, controlled his tongue, made himself independent (from others), and stayed in his house. For him is the same reward as that for which he intended, and on the Day of Judgment, he will be with the one whom he loved. Beware, indeed deeds reach them faster than the swords of Muslims. Be aware and beware, there is a return for the truth. Whenever Allah wills, He brings it.
