Hadith 39948
٣٩٩٤٨ - حدثنا (أبو معاوية) (١) عن الأعمش عن (أبي) (٢) صالح عن جابر قال: قال النبي ﷺ في (حجته) (٣): "أتدرون أي يوم أعظم حرمة؟ " قال: فقلنا: يومنا هذا، قال: "فأي بلد أعظم حرمة؟ " (قال) (٤): قلنا (٥): بلدنا هذا، قال: "فأي شهر أعظم حرمة؟ " (٦) (قلنا: شهرنا هذا) (٧)، قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "فإن دماءكم وأموالكم حرام، كحرمة يومكم هذا، في بلدكم هذا، في شهركم هذا" (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Prophet said: "Which city is the greatest in sanctity?" Hazrat Jabir says, "We replied, 'Our month.'" Hazrat Jabir states that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, your blood and your wealth are forbidden to one another, just as the sanctity of this day, in this city, in this month."
