Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Wa'il narrates from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar, he said: "What will be your condition at that time when a continuous trial (fitnah) will befall you, in which the young will grow up and the old will become aged? These people will consider it as Sunnah, and if anything is changed from it, it will be said that the Sunnah has been altered." The people asked, "When will this happen, O Abu Abdur Rahman?" So Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar replied: "When your reciters (of the Qur'an) will become many and your trustworthy people will become few, and your leaders will become many and your jurists will become few, and the world will be sought through deeds of the Hereafter."
