Hadith 39932
٣٩٩٣٢ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن المبارك عن هشام عن الحسن قال: قال: محمد بن (مسلمة) (١) أعطاني رسول اللَّه ﷺ سيفا فقال: "قاتل به المشركين (ما قوتلوا) (٢)، فإذا رأيت الناس يضرب بعضهم بعضًا -أو كلمة نحوها- فاعمد به إلى صخرة فاضربه بها حتى ينكسر، ثم اقعد في بيتك حتى تأتيك يد خاطئة أو منية قاضية" (٣).
Hasan narrates from Hazrat Muhammad bin Maslamah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a sword and said, "Fight the polytheists with it as long as they are fought. And when you see people begin to kill one another" (the narrator says) "or he said something similar to this, then take your sword and go to a rock and strike your sword on that rock until it breaks. Then sit in your house until either a wrongful hand reaches you or a decisive death comes to you."
