Hadith 39922
٣٩٩٢٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن الحارث بن (حصيرة) (١) عن زيد بن وهب قال: قيل لحذيفة: ما وقفات الفتنة وما بعثاتها؟ قال: بعثاتها سل السيف، ووقفاتها (إغماده) (٢) (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Wahb that he says: Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the intervals and outbreaks of tribulations. Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By the outbreaks of tribulations is meant the unsheathing of swords, and by their intervals is meant the sheathing of swords.
