Hadith 39889
٣٩٨٨٩ - حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير (حدثنا) (١) شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة قال: سمعت بن أبي أوفى يقول: كان أصحاب النبي ﷺ الذين (بايعوا) (٢) تحت الشجرة (ألفا) (٣) وأربعـ (ــمائة) (٤) أو (ألفا) (٥) وثلاثمائة، وكانت أسلم (من) (٦) المهاجرين (٧).
Hazrat Amr bin Murrah says that I heard Ibn Abi Awfa saying that the companions who pledged allegiance to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) under the tree were fourteen hundred or thirteen hundred, and the people of the tribe of Aslam were one-eighth of the Muhajireen.
