ما جاء في خلافة أبي بكر (وسيرته) في الردةHadiths About the Caliphate of Abu Bakr (رضی اللہ عنہ) and His Approach to Apostasy
Hadith 39836
٣٩٨٣٦ - حدثنا ابن نمير عن عبد الملك بن (سلع) (١) عن عبد خير قال: سمعت عليا يقول: قبض رسول اللَّه ﷺ على خير ما قبض عليه نبي من الأنبياء، (وأثنى عليه ﷺ) (٢)، قال: ثم استخلف أبو بكر فعمل بعمل رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣) (وبسنته) (٤)، ثم قبض أبو بكر على خير ما قبض عليه أحد، وكان خير هذه الأمة بعد (نبيها) (٥) ﷺ (٦)، ثم استخلف عمر فعمل بعملهما وسنتهما ثم ⦗١٤٩⦘ قبض على خير ما قبض عليه أحد، وكان خير هذه الأمة بعد (نبيها) (٧) ﷺ (٨) وبعد أبي بكر (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abd Khair that I heard Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away in the best state, the very best state in which the prophets pass away. Then Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) described the virtues of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (Then) Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: After that, Hazrat Abu Bakr was made the caliph, so he acted according to the deeds and Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then Hazrat Abu Bakr also died in the best state in which any person can have the best death. And Hazrat Abu Bakr was the best person in this Ummah after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then Hazrat Umar was made the caliph, so he also acted according to the deeds and Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abu Bakr. Then he too died in the best state in which any person can have the best death. And Hazrat Umar was the best person in this Ummah after the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Hazrat Abu Bakr.
