Hadith 39783
٣٩٧٨٣ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم عن مصعب بن سعد (عن سعد) (١) قال: لما خرج رسول اللَّه ﷺ في غزوة تبوك خلف عليا في النساء والصبيان، فقال: يا رسول اللَّه تخلفني في النساء والصبيان، فقال: "أما ترضى أن ⦗١١٨⦘ تكون مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى، إلا أنه (لا) (٢) (٣) نبي بعدي" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Sa’d that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for the Battle of Tabuk, he left Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) among the women and children. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Are you leaving me among the women and children?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “Are you not pleased that you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there will be no prophet after me?”
