Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid Sa’idi that we set out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in the year of Tabuk (for the expedition), until when we reached Wadi Qura, we saw a woman standing in her orchard. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered: “Estimate (the dates).” The narrator says: The people estimated (the dates), and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, also estimated the dates, and the estimate was ten wasqs. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to the woman: “Calculate the amount (of zakat) that is due from these dates. Insha’Allah, I will return to you.” The narrator says: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, departed from there until he stayed at Tabuk. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Tonight, a strong wind will blow upon you. So no man should stand in this wind. And whoever has a camel should tie its rope.” The narrator says: Hazrat Abu Humaid states: We tied the camels. When night fell, a very strong wind blew. A man stood in that wind, and the wind threw him between the two mountains of Tay. Then the king of Aylah came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and presented him with a white mule. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave him a sheet and wrote for him regarding their sea. The narrator says: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, moved forward, and we also moved forward with him, until we reached Wadi Qura. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked the woman: “How much is the zakat of your orchard?” The woman replied: “According to your estimate, it is ten wasqs.” Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I will proceed quickly. Whoever among you wishes to proceed quickly may do so (with me).” The narrator says: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, set out, and we also set out with him, until when we reached in front of Madinah, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “This is a pure place.” Then when he saw the mountain of Uhud, he said: “This is a mountain that loves us, and we love it.”
