Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umm Hani bint Abi Talib narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Makkah, two men from my in-laws, the Banu Makhzum, came running to me. Umm Hani says: So I hid them in my house. Then my brother, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Abi Talib, came to me and said, "I will certainly kill both of them." Umm Hani says: I took both men (into a room) and closed the door, then I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at an elevated place in Makkah. At that time, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was bathing in a tub in which there were traces of kneaded dough, and Hazrat Fatimah (the daughter of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) was screening him. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his bath, he took his clothes and put them on, then he performed eight rak‘ahs of the forenoon prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards me and said: "Umm Hani! Welcome, you are most welcome. For what purpose have you come?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Two men from my in-laws have come running to me (for protection), and then Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Abi Talib came to me, and now Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) intends to kill both of them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No! Rest assured, O Umm Hani! Whom you have given protection, we have also given protection, and whom you have granted safety, we have also granted safety."
