Hadith 39697
٣٩٦٩٧ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن يزيد عن مجاهد عن (١) ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "هذه (٢) (حرم) (٣) - (يعني مكة) (٤) - حرمها اللَّه يوم خلق السماوات والأرض، ووضع هذين (الأخشبين) (٥)، (لم) (٦) تحل لأحد قبلي ولا تحل لأحد بعدي، ولم تحل لي إلا ساعة من (النهار) (٧)، لا (يعضد) (٨) شوكها، ولا ينفر صيدها، ولا (يختلى) (٩) (خلاها) (١٠)، ولا (يرفع) (١١) لقطتها إلا (منشد) (١٢) "، فقال العباس: يا رسول اللَّه إن أهل مكة لا صبر لهم عن الأذخر لقينهم ولبنيانهم، فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إلا الإذخر" (١٣).
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is a sacred place, meaning Makkah. From the day Allah created the heavens and the earth, He made it sacred. It was not made lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be made lawful for anyone after me. And for me, it was made lawful only for a short period of the day. Its thorns are not to be cut, its game is not to be frightened away, its grass is not to be cut, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who will announce it. Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the people of Makkah find it difficult to do without the Idhkhir grass, as they use it for their foundations and in their blacksmithing. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Idhkhir is excepted.
