It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that eighty (80) people from among the people of Makkah descended from Mount Tan'eem to attack the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) captured them safely and soundly. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forgave them. And this verse was revealed: "And He is Allah who restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Makkah after He had given you victory over them."
