Hadith 39623
٣٩٦٢٣ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن حصين عن سالم عن جابر قال: أصاب الناس عطش يوم الحديبية، قال: فهش الناس إلى رسول اللَّه ﷺ، قال: فوضع يده في الركوة، فرأيت الماء مثل العيون، قال: قلت: كم كنتم؟ قال: لو كنا مائة ألف لكفانا، كنا (خمس عشرة مائة) (١) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that on the day of Hudaybiyyah, the people were extremely thirsty. The narrator says: the people rushed towards the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. So, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, placed his hand in a leather vessel, and I saw the water flowing like springs. Hazrat Salim says that I asked Hazrat Jabir: How many of you were there? He replied: Even if we had been one hundred thousand, that water would have sufficed us (but) we were fifteen hundred in number.
