Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

39562 - Muhammad said: Ash'ath ibn Ishaq informed me, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ attended him while he was being washed, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ grasped his (knees) (1) (and said) (2): "An angel entered (and did not) (3) have a place to sit, so I made room for him," (and his mother) (4) was weeping and saying: Woe to the mother of Sa'd for Sa'd... excellence and seriousness (after (his favors) (5) and glory) (6)... a leader (who was blocked) (7) with (a barrier) (8). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "All the weeping women lie except the mother of Sa'd." Muhammad said: Some of our companions said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out (for his funeral) (9), some of the hypocrites said: How light is the bier of Sa'd or the funeral (of Sa'd) (10) (11).
