It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that on the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of a sword and said, "Who will take this from me?" People stretched out their hands, and every man said, "I, I (will take it)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Who will take this sword with its due right (of fulfilling its obligation)?" The narrator says, then the people stopped. And Samak Abu Dujana said, "I will take this sword with its due right (of fulfilling its obligation)." The narrator says, then Abu Dujana took that sword and, with it, split open the heads of many polytheists.
