Hadith 39368
٣٩٣٦٨ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال) (١): حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه وفاطمة عن أسماء قالت: صنعت سفرة النبي ﷺ في بيت أبي بكر حين أراد أن يهاجر إلى المدينة، قالت: فلم نجد لسفرته ولا لسقائه ما نربطهما به، فقلت لأبي بكر: واللَّه ما أجد شيئا أربط به إلا نطاقي، (قالت: فقال) (٢): شقيه باثنين، فاربطي بواحد السقاء وبالآخر السفرة، فلذلك سُميتُ ذات النطاقين (٣).
Hazrat Asma narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to migrate to Madinah, I prepared a provision bag for him in the house of Abu Bakr. She narrates that we could not find anything to tie the provision bag and the water skin of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said to Abu Bakr: By Allah! I do not find anything (like a rope, etc.) to tie them except my waistband. She says: Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar said: Tear it into two parts. Tie the water skin with one part and the provision bag with the other. Because of this, Hazrat Asma became known as "Dhat an-Nitaqain" (the possessor of two waistbands).
