Hadith 39367
٣٩٣٦٧ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال) (١): حدثنا الفضل بن دكين قال: (حدثنا) (٢) يونس بن أبي إسحاق عن المغيرة بن (شبيل) (٣) بن عوف عن جرير بن عبد اللَّه قال: لما أن دنوت من المدينة أنخت راحلتي ثم حللت (عيبتي) (٤) ولبست حلتي، فدخلت ورسول اللَّه ﷺ يخطب (فسلمت على النبي ﷺ) (٥)، فرماني الناس بالحَدَق، قال: فقلت لجليس لي: يا عبد اللَّه هل ذكر رسول اللَّه ﷺ من أمري شيئا؟ قال: نعم، ذكرك بأحسن الذكر، قال: بينما رسول اللَّه ﷺ يخطب إذ عرض له في خطبته فقال: "إنه سيدخل عليكم من هذا الفج أو من هذا الباب من خير ذي يمن، إلا وإن على وجهه مسحة ملك"، قال جرير: فحمدت اللَّه على ما أبلاني (٦).
Narrated by Hazrat Jarir bin Abdullah: He says: When I approached near Madinah, I made my camel sit down, then I took off my ordinary clothes and put on my fine attire, and I entered while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon. I greeted the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The people began to stare at me. He says: I asked my companion, "O servant of Allah! Has the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned anything about me?" He said: "Yes! He (peace and blessings be upon him) has spoken very well of you." He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when he said: "Indeed, soon from this direction, or he said: from this door, the best person among the people of Yemen will enter. Beware! There will be royal features on his face." Hazrat Jarir says: So I praised Allah for the trial with which Allah had tested me.
