Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abu Saeed Khudri narrates from his father that on the day of Khandaq, we were prevented from offering Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha (i.e., the polytheists had prevented us) until Allah sufficed us regarding this matter, and concerning this, the Divine command was revealed: { وَکَفَی اللَّہُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ الْقِتَالَ وَکَانَ اللَّہُ قَوِیًّا عَزِیزًا }. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and ordered Hazrat Bilal to give the Iqamah, so he gave the Iqamah and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered Zuhr as he used to offer it before. Then Hazrat Bilal gave the Iqamah and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered Asr as he used to offer it before. Then Hazrat Bilal gave the Iqamah and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered Maghrib as he used to offer it before. Then Hazrat Bilal gave the Iqamah for Isha and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered Isha as he used to offer it before. And this incident occurred before the revelation of { فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ فَرِجَالاً ، أَوْ رُکْبَانًا }. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: When a person misses several prayers, neither Adhan nor Iqamah will be given for any of them.
