It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah that on the day of the Trench, the polytheists kept the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) occupied (in battle) from four prayers. The narrator says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Hazrat Bilal. He gave the call to prayer (adhan) and the call to commence (iqamah), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer. Then he gave the iqamah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Asr prayer. Then he gave the iqamah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Maghrib prayer. Then he gave the iqamah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Isha prayer.
