Hadith 39190
٣٩١٩٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن عياش بن أبي ربيعة عن حكيم بن حكيم بن عباد بن (حنيف) (١) عن نافع بن جبير بن مطعم عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "أمني جبرئيل عند البيت مرتين، فصلى بي العشاء حين غاب الشفق وصلى بي من (الغد) (٢) العشاء ثلث الليل الأول، وقال: ⦗٣١١⦘ هذا الوقت وقت النبيين قبلك، الوقت بين هذين الوقتين" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel led me in prayer twice at the House of Allah. When the twilight disappeared, he led me in the ‘Isha prayer. And on the next day, he led me in the ‘Isha prayer at the first third of the night and said: This is the time (of prayer) of the Prophets before you. And the time (for ‘Isha) is between these two (specified) times.
