Hadith 39153
٣٩١٥٣ - حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا خالد عن عبد اللَّه بن شقيق عن ابن عمر أن النبي ﷺ قال: "صلاة الليل مثنى مثنى، والوتر واحدة، وسجدتان قبل طلوع الفجر" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The night prayer is in sets of two (rak‘ahs), and witr is one, and before Fajr there are two (sunnah) rak‘ahs.
