Hadith 39033
٣٩٠٣٣ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن الشعبي قال: كان رجل من المسلمين أعمى، فكان يأوي إلى امرأة يهودية، فكانت تطعمه وتسقيه وتحسن إليه، وكانت لا تزال تؤذيه في رسول اللَّه ﷺ، فلما سمع (ذلك منها) (١) ليلة من الليالي قام فخنقها حتى قتلها، فرفع ذلك إلى النبي ﷺ فنشد الناس في أمرها، فقام الرجل فأخبره أنها كانت تؤذيه في النبي ﷺ وتسبه وتقع فيه فقتلها لذلك، فأبطل النبي ﷺ دمها (٢).
Hazrat Sha’bi narrates that there was a blind man among the Muslims who used to reside in the house of a Jewish woman. That woman would feed him, give him drink, and treat him well. However, this woman would continuously cause him distress regarding the person of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So, when this blind Muslim heard these things from the woman’s mouth one night, he stood up and strangled her until she died. This matter was brought before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired from the people regarding the woman’s case, so the blind Muslim stood up and explained that she used to cause him distress about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and would abuse him. He killed the woman for this reason. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the woman’s blood to be wasted.
