Hadith 38940
٣٨٩٤٠ - حدثنا ابن مسهر عن الشيباني عن حبيب عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ أن يخلط التمر والزبيب جميعا، وأن يخلط البسر والزبيب جميعا، وكتب بذلك إلى أهل (جُرَش) (١) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade mixing dates and raisins together (for making nabidh), and forbade mixing unripe dates and raisins together (for making nabidh). And this instruction the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote to the people of Hurash.
