It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one of the pure wives of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) in a tub. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and he wished to perform ghusl or wudu with that water. The pure wife said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I was in a state of janabah (ritual impurity). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Water does not become impure by janabah.
