Hadith 3883
٣٨٨٣ - (حدثنا) (١) هشيم عن حصين عن مجاهد قال: صحبت (ابن) (٢) عمر من المدينة إلى مكة فكان يصلي تطوعا على دابته، حيث [ما توجهت به، فإذا ⦗٣٤٥⦘ كانت الفريضة نزل (فصلى) (٣)] (٤) (٥).
Hazrat Mujahid narrates that I traveled from Madinah to Makkah with Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). He used to offer Nafl prayers on his mount, continuing to pray in whichever direction the mount turned. However, when it was time to offer Fard prayers, he would dismount and perform them.
