Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

A man from the army of Hazrat Muslim bin Uqbah narrates that when I came to Madinah, I entered the mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. I prayed with Abdul Malik bin Marwan. Abdul Malik said to me, "Are you from this army?" I said, "Yes." He said, "May your mother lose you! Do you know whom you are going to fight? You are going to fight the first child born in the Islamic state. You are going to fight the son of the disciple (Hazrat Zubair) of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. You are going to fight the son of Hazrat Asma, the possessor of the two belts. You are going to fight the one whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave tahneek (chewed date). By God, if you go to him during the day, you will find him fasting, and if you go to him at night, you will find him standing in prayer. If all the people of the earth agree on his killing, Allah Almighty will throw them all face down into Hell." The man says that only a few days had passed when Abdul Malik was made caliph. He sent us to kill Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair, and we killed him. ! !
