٣٨٦٩٠ - حدثنا عفان حدثنا (علي) (١) بن مسعدة حدثنا إبراهيم بن العلاء الغنوي قال: بلغنا أن كعبا كان يقول: إن أول الأمصار خرابا جناحاها، قلنا: وما جناحاها يا كعب؟ قال: البصرة ومصر.
Hazrat Ka'b used to say that the first to be ruined among the cities are the two wings of the cities. Someone asked him, "What are the two wings of the cities?" He replied, "Basra and Kufa."
